God is a holy God. (Isaiah 6:3)
Because of His holiness, He can have no communion with wickedness. (Ezekiel 44:13)
God created you in His image (Genesis 1:27). He created you to walk with Him and glorify Him in all that you do. (Ezekiel 20:19, Micah 4:5, 1st Corinthians 6:20)
We, however are wicked by our very nature. We lie, steal, lust, grumble, hate and so much more with every breath we take. Everyone of us turns from God. (Romans 3:10-18, Romans 3:23, Ecclesiastes 7:20)
God, being holy and just must punish sin, and the wages of sin are death. (Romans 6:23, Romans 5:12)
But how shall we pay for our sins? There is no good work good enough to cover our wickedness. Even still, God wants to have communion with His creation. He desires us to live holy lives for His kingdom. So He has made a way for wretched sinners such as ourselves!
Christ who is God Himself in human flesh, (Colossians 2:9) came down to earth to be the perfect sacrifice and make atonement for our sin . (Philippians 2:6-11)
Though we were dead in our sins practicing iniquity, He loved us enough to humble Himself, shed His blood on a cross so that all our sins would be washed away. And in our justification we may have communion with our Creator, walk with Him and live for Him!
"Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the Kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality, nor thieves, nor greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers will inherit the Kingdom of God. And such were some of you. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ by the Spirit of our God." -1st Corinthians 6:9-11.
