Abolish Human Abortion

  • Evangelical:

The work of abolition is simply putting biblical Christianity into practice. James 1:27 says, "Religion that is pure and undefiled before God the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction and to keep oneself unstained from the world."

This is not a special calling for certain Christians, it is how every regenerate man ought to live.

The bible also says we must expose the unfruitful works of darkness, including abortion.(Ephesians 5:11)
Abolition is based on two theological truths which affirm that God hates abortion and desires all His people to rise up against this great evil, whatever that may look like in each believers life.
1. We are created in the image of God, abortion the the destroying of the very image of God.

2. Christ Himself became a man to bear the sins of mankind and redeem us.

  • Reliant:

The work of abolition is reliant on the providence of God. We do not rely on man and his pragmatism. We do not fight this fight to only see results, for results belong to God. Quite often we do not see the fruit of our labor, but we know that we do not labor in vain.

"There for my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the lord your labor is not in vain." - 1st Corinthians 15:5

We must simply obey God and trust in His sovereignty as we continuously rejoice in our salvation.

  • Gospel centered:

We cannot abandon the Gospel of our Lord! It is the power of God to save sinners (Romans 1:16) and the only hope to a sick and dying world.

Abortion is a sin issue. It is only when humans in their pride turn from God that they would ever end up taking drugs to murder their preborn child, or ever end up at an abortion clinic paying a trained doctor to murder their child.

How can we expect men and women dead in their sins to ever turn from this sin if we do not share the Gospel with them?

How can we expect a culture of death to ever transform into a culture of life, if we abandon the only thing that has the power to transform?

Be faithful first to the Gospel.

  • Obligation of the church:

As stated before, it is an obligation of all the people of God to practice pure and undefiled religion. (James 1:27)

It is our job as Christians to be salt and light (Matthew 5:13-16)

We are all called to be shining lights among a wicked and perverse generation. (Philippians2:14-15)

We are all called to love our neighbors as ourselves. (Mark 12:30-31)

We cannot expect wicked men to fight our battles for us.

We cannot delegate loving our neighbors to certain groups of people that often abandon the Gospel of Christ or simply deny Him.

The church of Christ must rise up, unify under Christ, repent of our apathy towards lost souls perishing without the Gospel and our apathy towards the mass holocaust of our own neighbors, and then we will see an end to abortion.

  • Now:

The abolition of abortion should go into effect now. We must work as if we want to see it end this very moment. That is why we are immediatists in our fight. Because why rely on the providence of God and not the pragmatism of man, we fight this fight demanding the total abolition of abortion. We do not bargain with the enemy and promote such legislation as 20 week bans, pain culpable bills, or heart beat bills, or rape exceptions.

We believe that all the preborn are created in the image of God, and to promote such legislation is to deny that truth, and abandon 98% of our own preborn neighbors to the hands of abortionists.
Many might say that promoting those compromised and pragmatic politics is strategic, and a step in the right direction to eventually abolish abortion. This may seem reasonable but it is unfortunately very misguided.

When you tell the culture to not kill a human because that human can feel pain, you are simultaneously dehumanizing the babies that do not feel pain. This sort of legislation actually perpetuates abortion as it solidifies in the minds of the wicked that the murder of smaller humans, humans that don't have heart beats or brain waves yet and humans that are conceived in rape are not as evil and offensive as murders of larger humans with more developed bodies.

We ask that you abandon those ideas and methods and trust fully in God!

About Abolition

Abolition asks the question, "what does Christianity look like in a culture that practices child sacrifice?" We believe that as followers of Christ, we should be faithful to Him in all that we do. Why should fighting evil be any different? There are five tenants of abolition that we stand by, which serve as our foundation to keep us grounded in biblical truth as we wage this war against the evil of abortion.

There are also two modes of abolition, showing what it looks like when you live out these five tenants.
